I voted in favour of the report that focuses on new HDVs to reduce CO2 emissions, thus contributing towards the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the mitigation of climate change, while at the same time delivering significant fuel savings to transport operators, maintaining a high level of innovation and technological leadership for EU HDV manufacturers, and bringing about substantial air quality improvements.

I voted in favour of the report amending Directive 2009/33/EU on the promotion of clean and energy-efficient road transport, by setting minimum targets in public procurement for clean vehicles, which aims at the promotion of clean transport, fostering new and clean technologies and the long-term reduction of emissions of air pollutants and CO2.

I voted in favour of this report that aims to mobilise public and private investments to address existing investment gaps in areas including sustainable transport and new mobility models, renewable energy and energy efficiency, digital connectivity and technologies, research and innovation, climate, environment and resources, education and skills and development of SMEs. I did vote in favour of the 65% investment threshold for sustainable infrastructure and for more transparency/accountability in governance, however I did vote against the inclusion of defence in the financial operations of the InvestEU programme.
